Fugitive Telemetry by Martha Wells (2021)
Book cover blurb
No, I didn’t kill the dead human. If I had, I wouldn’t dump the body in the station mall.
When Murderbot discovers a dead body on Preservation Station, it knows it is going to have to assist station security to determine who the body is (was), how they were killed (that should be relatively straightforward, at least), and why (because apparently that matters to a lot of people—who knew?)
Yes, the unthinkable is about to happen: Murderbot must voluntarily speak to humans! Again!

My Review
Well, it's Murderbot, so you know it's going to be good, even before starting reading. or rather, I hope it’s going to be good considering the last outing.
And we're back to the tried and trusted format of a novella again, thankfully. (I wasn't a fan of the full-length book.) This is quite a laid-back, almost meandering offering, which isn't a bad thing by any means. It was good to just sort of hang out with Murderbot, as he solved a little murder mystery. An incredibly quick read, but well worth it. It's good to be back.
Oh, and Martha, more JollyBaby, please. I see potential here for a sort of 'pet' for Murderbot.
